Management of Risk Foundation

This course is expected to take 12 hours of self-paced study which you have 12 months to complete from date of registration. Do not register if you are unable to commit to the study, wait until you are able to do so. You can only register for one self-paced course at a time. If there is more than one self-paced course on your pathway, complete one then register for the next.

We live in an ever-changing world and to cope we all manage risk, even if we are unaware we are doing it. To be successful, we need to accept that risk exists and plan around building the future we desire rather than simply hoping that success will occur. If we try to avoid risk completely, we will reduce our chances of achieving our goals.

Management of risk (M_o_R®) provides a practical approach and an accessible framework for making informed decisions on managing risk throughout the organization, and for helping organizations prepare for success, meet objectives, improve service delivery and achieve real value for money.

The purpose of the Foundation level is to confirm you have sufficient knowledge and understanding to contribute to the identification, assessment and control of risks across any organizational perspective. Your understanding will include the four elements of the M_o_R framework and how these support corporate governance.
